Wishin’ I was at Bonnaroo.
Downloaded the Coeur de Pirate/Jay Malinowski (of Bedouin Soundclash) mash-up band Armistice’s album today. This song in particular, Mission Bells, is just so goddamn beautiful. Girl’s gotta voice, that is for sure.
Hey lookit, the Radiohead album got pushed up a day, so its out now. And this video is basically Thom Yorke having a spastic attack while looking older than I remember him looking. I’ve begun preparing myself for the inundation of people orgasming over Radiohead like its some cocaine engineered by an ethreal force. And I’ve prepared myself for the responses I’m going to get for saying “Yeah, its not bad” and not “This is the best thing I’ve ever heard in the history of ever, Radiohead is the meaning of life and if you don’t like it you clearly can’t appreciate fine music.”
But before I become a bitter old woman I’ll just say this, Radiohead’s new song: not so bad.
Oren Lavie is pretty great. Also, this video is insane.
Star Fucking Hipsters are pretty fun.
Hey remember this awesome music video? Iron & Wine reminds me of high school, specifically Junior year, working at Muvico, bumming around town with friends, going to the beach at night and then seeing him live and all of us being disappointed.
BUT BESIDE THE POINT. Is it just me, or after having seen BLACK SWAN, does this video seem to bare some basic similarities? Like subtle computer effects that enhance choreography, and sort of eerie aspect to it (though, not nearly as creepy as Black Swan, that was unsettling at some points). Just me?
Bridge and Tunnel PINK COUCH STYLE.
Fake Problems, on the Pink Couch.
Pink Couch Sesh of The Wild
Greenland is Melting. I’m gonna see em in February. Lee’s brother is friends with the band so Lee hung out with them at the Fest. Apparently he told them I was an a creepy, obsessive fan or something along those lines. Should be fun.
