Why Apple pisses me off sometimes:
I hate Apple sometimes.  My Macbook Pro lost the rubber feet on the bottom of it’s little body a few months ago. I’ve never dropped the thing, they just slowly started to fall off, until I only had one left. I tried to glue them back on and they just fell off again. Apparently this is a common problem, at least if I’m to take Google at face value. So I take my Macbook in to...

Today, towards the end of the day, my boss walked to my desk to retrieve some documents he was printing. But he was singing Like a G6. And I laughed pretty hard because hes a middle aged, preppy, sweater-wearing, golf-playing man. But he’s pretty funny like that. That’s all.

Wireless carriers openly considering charging per... →
I know I whine about Net Neutrality a lot on here, but it’s not without reason. This article is the very reason why I think it’s such an important, overlooked issue. Because bullshit like this is happening behind closed doors. Mobile broadband carriers are discussing ways to tier pricing based on the sites you visit, and I find that disgusting. And with the FCC gearing up to vote on...

Here's a quick summary of my first week of work:
I’m a QA rep at a Digital Media company. They take print media and convert them into digital publications for the web, iPhone, iPad and soon, Android. The commute is kind of crummy but it’s really not too bad. I’ve learned the routes to take. I basically look at PDFs all day and scan for errors like typos or incorrect links. I somehow got the biggest desk out of my other 2...

“It’s a book, jackass.”
– The sentence that got the book It’s A Book banned in two Massachusetts school districts. The book is about a donkey (AKA a jackass) who learns the value of reading books. [upi.] (via thedailywhat) Funny. That is all.

I got that Digital Media job. The guy liked me just from the phone (which has me miffed but I’ll take the compliment) and was adament about giving me the position because of my field of study. He said that there were other applicants but he only want to move forward with me and that the job could be as simple as making some easy money or networking, communicating with CEO and CFO in the...

My interview at Moe’s has yet to bear fruit. I’m thinking I’ll consider it a wash. The hiring manager and the corporate manager seemed to be displeased I couldn’t start training this morning, despite my reason being I was finishing my last final of the semester. Anyways, the job I applied for ended up being posted on craigslist a few hours after my interview, which kind of...

It’s about 6 in the am. I woke up at 4, a result of falling asleep at 7 last night. Been studying for art history all morning, about to go take that final (starts at 7am). I’ve somehow secured an interview at Moe’s at 2:45, which I really hope I get but I haven’t had a job in a while so I’m worried they won’t bite. Digital Media final at 6pm, but that class is a...

Got an interview at a pizza place on the 15th.
One call back from about 50 places I’ve hit up this week. But hey, it’s a job opportunity, and I’m pretty excited. I haven’t had a job in over two years. IT’S TIME.
