2009
This year I completed High School, or what I considered High School (which was technically my first year of college). I met tons of new people and couple of them are people I really care about now. I rekindled friendships with a few old friends and lost a few more. I moved to Orlando and transferred to UCF. My sister moved out and got married. I went to a crazy Prom party and it wasn’t my...

My Notable Gifts This Year:
Ghetto-ass hoodie (thanks Mawmaw!)
Assortment of orange appliances (coffee maker, iron and toaster oven)
Orange UnderArmor (for all those sports I play?)
The Cove (“The Bourne Identity meets Flipper” says the cover!
No but seriously, I did get some nice gifts. Those were just the funny ones :)

If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it’s yours forever....
– Anonymous (via always-climbing)
Some of Anon’s greatest work.
Weirdest Night EVER
Alleged deaths, creepy kisses and come-ons and Owl City shit as people laugh at us and we laugh back. So good/strange.

Gem from when Obama asked kids what they wanted...
OBAMA: OK. All right.
UNIDENTIFIED CHILD: Me?
OBAMA: Yes.
UNIDENTIFIED CHILD: A cell phone.
OBAMA: You want a cell phone? Who are you going to call?
UNIDENTIFIED CHILD: Everybody.
UNIDENTIFIED CHILD: And my family and my friends.
OBAMA: Your friends and family?
UNIDENTIFIED CHILD: Yes. Yes.
OBAMA: What are you going to say to them?
UNIDENTIFIED CHILD: How are you doing?
OBAMA: How are you doing? But don't you — you're seeing your family and friends all the time. Why do you need a cell phone?
UNIDENTIFIED CHILD: Because you can call.
UNIDENTIFIED CHILD: Because like on the weekends and stuff...
UNIDENTIFIED CHILD: I just want one.
OBAMA: Yes?
UNIDENTIFIED CHILD: Yes.

The woes of college:
Buying a book for thirty bucks and only being offered 2.50 for it at the end of the semester.

Yesterday I got a package
from New York Taxi, with a cool stencil’d design on the outside. Inside were two pins and their demo. They graciously sent it out to me for free, so I’d like to say thanks! I love the music, especially the new take on ‘And Now Our Feature Presentation’. While I’m name-droppin’, go download their work for free: http://www.newyorktaxi.bandcamp.com

10 Games I'm Looking Forward to in 2010
(in no partcular order)
Halo: Reach - Halo prequel, last Halo game by Bungie, based on the awesome prequel novel. I eat this shit up.
Pokemon: HeartGold & SoulSilver - It’s Pokemon. And remakes of my favorite versions. Need I say more?
Alan Wake - Stephen King-style crazy shit. Creepy novelist, demon-y things, wife kidnapped. Yeah, sounds like Stephen King.
Final Fantasy XIII - My...

So last year I went to the totally awesome inaugural year of Harvest of Hope. I really wanted to go again this year. In fact, I had planned on it.
Last year I had planned to attend MegaCon, a giant nerdfest in Orlando. That is, I was going to until my friend and ride canceled on me the day of the show. I had planned to go for real this year, with the hope that some of my friends would come up...

Today I learned the phrase “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” originated from Witch tests sanctioned by Pope Innocent VII. It referred to the test where if you sank to the bottom of a lake and drown you weren’t a witch, but if you somehow came back to the top you were a witch and would be murdered anyway. THANKS PSYCHOLOGY FINAL REVIEW!

So I'll admit, I love software bundles
but they’re kind of a guilty pleasure when you consider you’re ripping the developers off. I guess it’s sort of similar to the whole pirated music debate, but it differs drastically because music is an entirely different product. Music has existed for centuries and was traditionally free entertainment. Music can continue to thrive through venues like concerts and merchandise...
